RBI has shown that they are against hard earned money of Freelancers i guess and they are ready to do anything to make sure that unemployment in India prevails. Instead of monitoring the Foreign bank accounts of our beloved ministers, they first put hold on Payoneer and now some restrictions on the way we handle Paypal….Awesome really awesome start to the new year. Wish they were so active against corruption and black money which is circulating instead of targeting money of self employed, dare to dream people.

Use an FTP client and go to wp-content/plugins folder

To view the malicious file you need to enable hidden files...you will see following files

1. .akismet.bak.php
2. .akismet.old.php

Just delete these hidden files and you are good to go……

Now Database Part:

Goto phpmyadmin and browse the db meant for your current wordpress setup…..goto wp_options table remember prefix may differ depending on the type of installation….so in general it should be something like prefix_options here prefix can be anything mentioned in your wp_config.php file…..

Your goal here is simple—you need to delete database entries that contain malicious code. Fortunately, finding the entries you need to delete is a simple job if you use the phpMyAdmin search function

On the search screen, you’re going to need to search the option_name field  for the following rogue database entries:

• wp_check_hash
• class_generic_support
• widget_generic_support
• ftp_credentials
• fwp
• rss_% — delete all matches except rss_language, rss_use_excerpt, and rss_excerpt_length

if you find any difficulty removing pharma hack lemme know….i will help you out…..still there is not sure shot way to prevent it….

How to Start Freelancing from Scratch?

Everyday when you go to your 9 to 5 job (it varies depending on the geo-location you are in) you feel like you are not made for this, you are not enjoying what you are doing and one fine day you are struck with the idea of freelancing. Lots of questions hovers the mind like security, money, whether u will be able to do it or not and what not. Freelancing is fun and believe me there is no life parallel to it. You have all the freedom in this world you spend lot of time with your family and above all you make money more than before because you are enjoying what you are doing.

Here I will give you 5 basic thumb rules to start freelancing from scratch.

At first look all the 5 points looks so obvious that you might think what’s new this guy is talking about everyone knows it. I agree everyone knows these points but when we start our new venture as freelancer somehow we tend to forget the basics and fall in completely different loop.

• 1) Start Freelancing as a part time first atleast for 6 months to an year

Leaving a secure 9 to 5 job is not easy. You might be inclined to think that you are getting regular monthly income, insurance for yourself and families and all the perks and perquisites and all this will be gone when u start freelancing. When you take decision to quit job your family wont support it too because it’s compromising stability to start with. Moreover life of freelancer atleast during the initial days goes through feast or famine cycle a lot.

For budding freelancer my advices is continuing your full time job and take freelancing as part time. Try to squeeze out extra hours from weekdays and toil hard on weekends believe me it will pay off in the long run. You will start to understand the demands and traits of freelancing. You will get rough idea where you are in current market trends. Above all you will start seeing money too. Your family will start supporting freelancing career too and that will boost your confidence and motivate you to take it as a full fledged career.

• 2) Register to some famous Freelancing Site

As a part time freelancer it’s very essential to get some confidence and remember nothing succeeds like success. There are many freelancing site like Elance, Guru, Scriptlance, Freelancer, Rentacoder and many others which allow user to bid on the projects. Register on these sites and others to get some idea what is the current market trend in your field and what’s the money today’s buyers are ready to shell out.

• 3) Bid Cautiously

All these freelancing sites have review/feedback mechanism. It’s obvious that a good feedback means good reputation on these sites. Since you are just starting to be a freelancer please take precaution in bidding. You might be tempted to bid an amount for a project which u think is reasonable but just remember this is a rat race. Another freelancer with good feedback will seize this opportunity and will outbid you and hence you will lose the project.

Since you are starting, it’s essential to grow some reputation on these sites, I say this as client building process. But that doesn’t mean that you bid too low this will have negative effect on the client’s mind that their work will be compromised. Bid little low then reasonable and if possible show them some demo remember Seeing is Believing. Client looks for demo if you show them what they want even partially the bid is sealed for you even though you have no or little feedback. Once you start gaining reputation your review will speak for itself and client will start offering you project without demo. Moreover if you do really good job then they will come back to you again and again.

Even if you lose the bid which will happen a lot initially, don’t get disheartened try to study who has won the bid, what he has offered and what was the timeframe. Your this experience will help you in your future bids and hence winning projects.

• 4) Take one project at a time and meet the deadlines

For freelancer biggest challenge is time management especially if you are doing this along with full time job. Obviously having bid on all the related projects on every freelancing site chances are that 2-3 buyers contacting you and willing to offer you project simultaneously. You will be tempted to take all and will try to multi task each project, since this will mean more money and more reviews/feedback on the respective sites. Kindly avoid doing this; chances are that you will end up messing up all the 3 projects (assuming working on 3 projects simultaneously) and hence buyer won’t be happy and they will ruin your feedback/review. This will in turn affect your chances of getting future projects on these sites and above all you will get de-motivated in long run.

Try to be honest with the client and tell him your situation and about projects in hand. Client likes honesty and if they are not in hurry they will wait for you. Honesty is best way to start a relationship then anything else. Keep the client updated about progress even if it’s a small one, this way even if you are not meeting the deadline client will support you.

• 5) Enhance your skills and match with current trends

Steve Jobs in a convocation said Stay Hungry Stay Foolish. This is particularly true for freelancers. The trends change so fast that if u don’t keep yourself updated with current trends, client will start looking for another freelancer. Keep yourself abreast with the latest technologies. Try to learn them and incorporate them in your projects. Try to reserve few time slots for learning new things. If you are a programmer make sure you learn new language every year. The more you are updated the more you are sought after. Try blogging on new technologies this way client will come to know that you are updated and their work is in safe hands.
